I took an evening walk down the road on Sunday evening and there was a beautiful sunset. It was nice to take a few moments on my own to remember to "be still and know that He is God." We have spent every minute together and with missionaries and nationals that sometimes it's nice to pause and just know that He is God, He will be exalted among the nations. Ps.46
This is Janet Bateman. We spent some time visiting with her this afternoon. She has been serving with a tribe here in Papua for 30 years. She is the only white person in her area. She works as a mother tongue translator in a tribe that has a tonal language with 8 different tones. Right now they have completed translations of Genesis, Exodus, Mark, and Acts, and have approximately 10 different epistles in progress. She is headed to Singapore for the next 2 weeks. Please be in prayer for her travels and health, she is a very special lady.
